The bronze has acquired a warm chestnut-colored patina through centuries of aging, while remnants of original gilding enhance its visual richness. The four-character seal mark "Yun Tang Qing Wan" identifies it as a refined object intended for the scholar's studio, where such incense burners were prized for both ceremonial and aesthetic purposes. Combining superb casting quality with balanced form and attractive patination, this example represents the enduring appeal of Qing Dynasty bronze craftsmanship.
