The elegant vessel features a gently flared rim, rounded body, and neatly finished foot. The interior is decorated with a powerful dragon moving through scrolling clouds, with copper-red accents creating a sophisticated contrast with the blue decoration. The Jianwen reign lasted only four years, making surviving imperial porcelains from this period exceptionally rare. Ceramics bearing the “Jianwen Nianzhi” mark are of particular importance for the study of early Ming imperial kiln production. This period represents a transitional stage between the robust style of the Hongwu era and the refined elegance of the Yongle period. With its rare reign mark, refined decoration, and exceptional historical significance, this Jianwen imperial bowl represents an important example of early Ming court porcelain
