The elegant maebyeong form, with its rounded shoulder, slender neck, and gracefully balanced body, reflects the refined aesthetic values of the Goryeo period. The vase is decorated using the highly regarded Goryeo inlay technique, with black and white clay carefully set into the ceramic body to create floral and scrolling motifs beneath the delicate celadon glaze.
