The elegant form features a gently flared rim, rounded body, and balanced foot, creating a simple yet sophisticated silhouette. Covered entirely in a deep sacrificial red glaze, the bowl displays the rich ruby-like tone that made this glaze one of the most admired achievements of Qing imperial porcelain production. During the Yongzheng reign, porcelain artists pursued exceptional purity of form and perfection of glaze, and copper-red wares such as this required highly controlled firing techniques and were produced with great difficulty. The white-glazed base bears a blue underglaze Yongzheng reign mark, highlighting its imperial character and historical importance. This type of refined monochrome porcelain remains highly sought after by collectors of Qing dynasty imperial ceramics.
