The entire surface is covered in a refined gray-green celadon glaze with delicate natural crackle lines, creating a warm and understated appearance. The piece showcases the signature Goryeo inlay technique, with each outer panel decorated with white inlaid floral motifs enhanced by small dark accents and separated by raised ridges. The interior base features three delicately inlaid chrysanthemum blossoms within double circular lines, creating a balanced and graceful composition. The contrast between the black-and-white inlaid decoration and the soft celadon ground is subtle and elegant, reflecting the distinctive artistry of Goryeo celadon craftsmanship. The flat base retains three small firing support marks, characteristic of traditional kiln firing methods. Combining Chinese celadon influences with a uniquely Korean aesthetic, this chrysanthemum-petal washer represents the refined taste of Goryeo-period scholars and collectors, serving both decorative and functional purposes. It is a fine example of Korean ancient celadon with beautifully preserved inlaid decoration.
