Provenance: Private Collection, Hong Kong Description: This refined double-gourd vase is a classic example of Northern Song dynasty Ding ware, featuring a small mouth, rounded upper section, full lower body, and a narrow waist accented by two subtle horizontal lines. The silhouette is elegant, balanced, and beautifully proportioned. The double-gourd shape has long been regarded as an auspicious form in Chinese culture, symbolizing blessings, prosperity, and lasting fortune.
