The rim is decorated with a delicate rouge-red incised scroll pattern, showing the highly skilled craftsmanship of the decorative technique, while the inner border is framed with iron-red dotted bead lines that create an elegant visual structure. The central scene depicts “Jiangnan Scenic Beauty,” painted by the renowned porcelain artist Wang Shaoping. The composition presents a balanced landscape with distant mountains fading into mist, rugged rocks, ancient trees, waterside pavilions, and small boats drifting across the river. The artist applied traditional Chinese landscape painting techniques, blending blue-green and earthy tones with soft, elegant colors and expressive brushwork, creating a refined literati-style atmosphere. The inscription on the side reads “Jiangnan Scenic Beauty, painted by Wang Shaoping at Zhushan in the Xin Chou year,” accompanied by a red seal, combining painting, calligraphy, and seal carving into a harmonious composition. The underside bears a red seal-script “Qianlong Nian Zhi” mark as an apocryphal mark. Wang Shaoping was a notable Republic period Zhushan famille-rose landscape painter known for his sophisticated scenery and literati-inspired brushwork. With excellent painting quality, elegant coloring, and carefully executed rim decoration, this plate represents an outstanding example of Republic period scholar-style famille-rose porcelain.
