Provenance: From a private collection in Texas, USA.Description: This elegant export dish features a wide flared rim, shallow rounded body, and neatly finished foot, representing the refined style of Qing period export porcelain. The dense porcelain body is covered with a smooth, bright white glaze, accented by a subtle brownish rim decoration. The central scene depicts an idyllic Jiangnan waterscape with layered mountains, a rising sun, flying birds, boats moving across calm waters, and charming riverside pavilions. Bridges, trees, houses, and figures resting near the windows create a beautifully balanced composition with a strong sense of depth and tranquility. The decoration is primarily painted in cobalt blue, enhanced with touches of underglaze red on flowers and landscape details, adding warmth and contrast to the scene. Surrounding the landscape is a continuous scroll motif, while the wide rim features framed decorative panels with butterflies, floral designs, and auspicious motifs, creating a rich yet harmonious overall appearance. The brushwork is lively and natural, with bright cobalt tones and warm underglaze red colors. The unglazed foot reveals refined trimming marks, and the underside bears a blue square maker’s mark. Combining traditional Chinese landscape aesthetics with the decorative style favored in international trade, this dish represents a fine example of Qing export porcelain.
