From a private collection in New York, USA.Description: This bowl features a gently flared rim, rounded body, and a neatly formed foot, representing a classic large bowl form produced by the Longquan kilns during the Yuan dynasty. The entire vessel is covered in a soft and refined celadon glaze with an even surface and a subtle, elegant tone that reflects the beauty of aged ceramics. The interior is decorated with finely carved designs, featuring a central floral medallion surrounded by flowering branches, elegant phoenixes, and flowing cloud motifs. The phoenix figures are gracefully rendered, while the floral and leaf patterns display smooth, confident carving lines. The varying depth of the carved decoration creates natural contrasts of light and shadow beneath the glaze, giving the design a refined yet timeless appearance. The exterior remains undecorated, allowing the warm celadon glaze to become the main visual focus. The foot is carefully trimmed, with the exposed clay area showing the characteristic firing coloration of Longquan ware, along with traces of kiln residue and natural soil deposits. The auspicious phoenix and cloud imagery symbolizes good fortune and prosperity. Combining practical function with refined artistic expression, this piece represents an excellent example of Yuan dynasty Longquan carved celadon ware.
