It is carved from Hetian jade with a soft celadon tone and warm translucency. The surface features naturally developed yellow-brown earth staining with subtle transitions and layered coloration. One side is decorated with a finely incised concentric circular line around the inner opening, showing simple yet elegant workmanship, while the reverse remains undecorated, creating a refined contrast between the two surfaces. The edges are smoothly polished, and the overall thickness is evenly proportioned. The surface preserves traces of grayish mineral accretions, calcified deposits, and naturally weathered textures formed through long burial. The central opening was made using an ancient tubular drilling technique, with original traces of craftsmanship remaining visible. In ancient China, jade rings and bi discs served as important ritual objects associated with communication between heaven and earth and were also worn as personal ornaments. With its restrained design, natural patina, and distinctive ancient character, this jade ring represents the understated beauty and ritual significance of early Chinese jade craftsmanship.
