A pair of openwork kui dragon-form handles is symmetrically applied to the neck, creating a sophisticated decorative balance. The rim is highlighted with gilt decoration, while the interior is covered with a turquoise glaze. The neck is decorated with a soft pink ground filled with elaborate famille rose floral scrolls, auspicious bats, and ruyi motifs. The flowers and leaves are carefully arranged with rich layers of color and delicate detailing. The carved kui dragon handles are painted in blue enamel with scrolling patterns, showing exceptional craftsmanship. The transition between the neck and body features multiple decorative bands, including ruyi heads, lotus petals, and key-fret patterns. The main body presents a charming famille rose scene of children at play, with a pine tree rising in the background. The central child bends over a fish bowl admiring red fish, while other children hold lotus flowers or peaches of longevity. Their lively expressions, colorful garments, and peaceful surroundings create a joyful scene symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and many blessings. A continuous wan-character border decorates the lower section, and the base bears a six-character iron-red seal script mark reading “Da Qing Daoguang Nian Zhi.” With its elegant form, refined painting technique, luxurious yet harmonious colors, and combination of floral, auspicious, and narrative decoration, this vase represents a fine example of Daoguang period famille rose porcelain.
