The exposed foot shows a sturdy reddish-brown clay body characteristic of Longquan ware. Provenance: Private Collection, Hong KongDescription: This complete set consists of a flower-shaped cup and matching stand, representing a classic tea ware combination produced at the Longquan kilns during the Song and Yuan periods. The cup is formed in an elegant five-petal flower shape, with a gently flared rim and vertical recessed ribs following the contours of the petals. The softly curved silhouette leads to an outward-flared foot with an exposed reddish clay body. The entire surface is covered with a thick layer of finely applied powder-green celadon glaze, featuring a warm jade-like appearance, subtle luster, and naturally developed crackle patterns. The stand is designed as a shallow dish with a raised circular platform at the center for supporting the cup. The inner surface is decorated with an incised six-petal floral motif, while the rim features flowing scroll and auspicious ruyi patterns with elegant carved lines. The exterior curves gently downward into a foot, with exposed clay and a lightly incised character mark beneath the glaze. Covered entirely in matching powder-green celadon glaze, the stand harmonizes beautifully with the cup in color, texture, and craftsmanship. Inspired by floral forms, the set reflects the refined aesthetic of Song dynasty literati culture. Longquan powder-green celadon is highly admired for its smooth jade-like glaze, naturally formed crackle patterns, and exceptional craftsmanship, making this an outstanding example of Song dynasty tea ware.
