Provenance: Private Collection, Virginia, USA.Description: This elegant dish is crafted in a lobed floral form, with a gently undulating rim creating an eight-petal silhouette. Each petal tip is slightly raised, giving the piece a graceful and refined appearance. The shallow body curves inward softly from the rim and rests on a sturdy foot, creating a balanced and dignified profile. The entire vessel is covered in a soft white glaze with a warm, creamy tone and a restrained luster. Subtle throwing marks remain visible on the interior surface, reflecting traditional hand-forming techniques. The thinner glaze along the rim has developed gentle aged wear from long-term use, adding to its natural antique character. The exposed foot reveals a dense and refined clay body, with neatly finished edges and traces of natural earth staining accumulated over time. With no elaborate decoration, the dish relies on its pure white glaze and graceful lobed silhouette to express a quiet elegance, representing the understated beauty of ancient Chinese white porcelain.
