The vessel features an everted rim, a waisted neck, a full rounded body, and an openwork flat base, creating a balanced and dignified silhouette associated with early ritual and display ceramics. The entire surface is covered with a soft gray-green celadon glaze, showing natural fine crazing and subtle variations of green tones developed over centuries. The rim is decorated with two raised bands, while the rounded body is accented with simple circular grooves. The most remarkable feature is the three-dimensional applied decoration around the neck, where multiple seated figures appear in a meditative pose with hands held together in a gesture of reverence. Between the figures are finely modeled flying birds, creating a lively scene with rich depth and movement. The decoration was created through a combination of molding and applied clay techniques, preserving strong sculptural details and reflecting the craftsmanship of early Yue kiln production. The openwork base reveals the original grayish clay body with reddish firing support marks, providing important evidence of ancient kiln techniques. Vessels decorated with applied figures and birds are rare within Yue celadon production, combining sculptural artistry, elegant glaze, and historical significance in a remarkable early Chinese ceramic masterpiece.
