Provenance: Private Collection, New York, USA，Description: This ancient jade jue ornament is carved from warm-toned Hetian yellow jade and features a classic circular form with an opening on one side, representing one of the most important jade ornaments of ancient China. The jade displays a soft yellow-green tone with subtle natural mineral inclusions, showing a dense and refined texture. The rounded body is carefully balanced, with smooth transitions between the inner and outer edges and no sharp corners, reflecting the early Chinese jade-working tradition. The opening is precisely cut and polished, while the surface preserves traces of ancient craftsmanship and hand-finishing. Large areas of the surface retain natural grayish-white mineral encrustation and weathered deposits, creating a striking contrast between the exposed jade surface and the aged patina. Dating back to the pre-Qin period, jade jue ornaments were important ritual and personal adornments. In ancient symbolism, the jue represented determination and resolution and was also used as an earring ornament. With its simple yet powerful form, natural surface transformation, and mature patina, this piece represents the timeless beauty of early Chinese jade craftsmanship and remains highly desirable for collectors.
