The foot is exposed with the characteristic reddish-brown firing color of Longquan stoneware, showing authentic traces of traditional kiln production. Provenance: Private Collection, California, USA，Description: This vessel is a classic Zhadou form from the Longquan kilns, historically used during banquets for collecting residues and later appreciated as an elegant scholar’s object and incense-related furnishing. The form is carefully balanced, featuring a gently flared rim, a narrowed neck, a full rounded body, and a smoothly tapered lower section resting on a circular foot. The graceful transitions from the open mouth to the curved body create a refined and harmonious silhouette that reflects the understated elegance of Song dynasty ceramics. The entire surface is covered with a soft Fengqing celadon glaze, displaying a subtle blue-green tone with a smooth jade-like quality and a quiet, refined shine. Small dark kiln marks are naturally scattered across the glaze, preserving the character of the original firing process. The interior is fully glazed, with faint wheel marks visible at the center, showing the craftsmanship of traditional ceramic production. The unglazed foot reveals the reddish-brown clay body, a distinctive feature formed through oxidation during the Longquan firing process. With its simple design, refined glaze, and elegant proportions, this piece represents the classic aesthetic of Song dynasty celadon and serves as both a functional vessel and a sophisticated decorative object.
