Dimensions: Diameter 20.9 cm, Height 9.6 cm (Approx. 8.2 in × 3.8 in; Late 14th to Early 15th Century Ming porcelain)，Condition and Provenance: The bowl is well preserved with no obvious cracks or losses. The copper-red decoration remains clear and stable, with a smooth glaze surface showing natural signs of age. Provenance: Private Collection, New York, USA，Description: This large Ming Dynasty bowl features a broad slightly flared rim, a full rounded body, and a neatly finished foot, creating a balanced and dignified silhouette characteristic of early Ming porcelain. The body is finely potted and covered inside and out with a clean white glaze that provides a soft and elegant background. The entire surface is decorated in copper-red underglaze pigment, displaying a rich and deep red tone with subtle natural variations typical of this traditional firing technique. The exterior is arranged in two decorative bands: the upper section features continuous scrolling patterns with graceful flowing lines, while the main body is decorated with scrolling peony motifs. The intertwined vines extend elegantly around the vessel, with full layered peony blossoms and carefully rendered leaves creating a luxurious and harmonious composition. The exterior of the foot is further decorated with a geometric key-fret pattern. The interior follows a carefully balanced decorative scheme, with a key-fret border along the rim, scrolling chrysanthemum motifs around the interior wall, and a floral medallion at the center. The interior and exterior decorations complement each other, creating a complete and refined design. The foot is cleanly finished with a fine porcelain body visible at the unglazed edge, while the base remains undecorated. This impressive copper-red decorated large bowl represents the refined craftsmanship and artistic elegance of early Ming porcelain, making it highly suitable for collection and display.
