Dimensions: Overall height 21.5 cm (approximately 8.5 in, approximately 0.71 ft), maximum body diameter 19 cm (approximately 7.5 in, approximately 0.62 ft),Condition and Provenance: The set remains well preserved with the original ewer and warming bowl together. The glaze is intact with natural signs of age, while the raised floral decoration, carved details, and melon-ribbed shaping remain clearly visible. The foot shows natural aging consistent with its historical character. Provenance: Private Collection, New York, USADescription: This is a complete ancient wine-warming set consisting of a ewer and a matching warming bowl. The entire piece is covered with a warm white glaze, showing an even and elegant ivory tone. The glaze surface is smooth and refined, with a naturally developed aged patina. The ewer features a full melon-shaped body with raised vertical ribs dividing the lobes. Small plum-blossom appliqué studs are placed at the intersections of the ribs, demonstrating delicate craftsmanship. The short neck is topped with a domed cover with a pearl-shaped finial. The handle is a rounded double-loop design, while the short spout is compact and well balanced. The combination of raised decoration and ribbed modeling creates a strong three-dimensional effect. The warming bowl has a slightly flared rim and a deep rounded body that echoes the shape of the ewer. A carved scroll band decorates the upper exterior, and the tall foot includes openwork vents designed for charcoal heating, representing the classic structure of an ancient wine-warming vessel. The ewer and bowl are highly coordinated in form and glaze, combining ribbed modeling, appliqué work, and carved decoration. With its refined craftsmanship, elegant proportions, and practical function, this set represents a fine example of historical Chinese ceramic tableware suitable for both display and collection.
