The elegant and powerful form reflects the refined taste of the Ming imperial court. The cover is topped with a lotus bud finial, with pierced openings carved through the petals to allow incense smoke to escape. The upper section features highly intricate openwork decoration with scrolling floral motifs, creating a delicate and architectural appearance. Below the openwork area are multiple decorative bands of auspicious cloud patterns, seasonal floral branches, and scrolling vines painted in rich cobalt blue. Additional peach-shaped openings enhance both the visual design and functional ventilation of the censer. The neck is decorated with scrolling lotus patterns arranged in a balanced composition. The vessel body follows a classic high-foot dou form, featuring an open mouth, rounded body, and an elegantly flared foot. The main body is decorated with framed scrolling floral and precious floral motifs, with flowing lines and refined brushwork. The upper rim is accented with continuous floral scrolls, while the lower body features hanging lotus petal decoration. The tall foot is adorned with powerful wave and mountain cliff patterns, adding depth and movement to the overall design. The base bears a blue and white double-circle regular script mark reading “Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi.” The entire vessel is covered with a luminous white glaze, while the cobalt-blue decoration displays a rich and vibrant tone with a sophisticated contrast between blue and white.
