Dimensions: 15th Century, Height approximately 3.8 cm (1.50 in), Diameter approximately 8.2 cm (3.23 in) Condition & Provenance: Flawless condition with silky glossy glaze, crisp authentic reign mark, no chips, cracks or restorations. Private Collection, New York Description: This compact recessed‑foot cup features a rounded low body, paired with double underglaze blue lines around the rim and base. Four sets of lotus‑supported Eight Auspicious Treasures adorn the exterior, outlined in cobalt‑blue and enriched with soft overglaze enamels of iron‑red, pale yellow and emerald green. A six‑character imperial mark “Da Ming Cheng Hua Nian Zhi” is neatly inscribed within a double blue square on the base. Fine thin porcelain and creamy translucent glaze define the gentle refined court aesthetic of Chenghua doucai. A scarce imperial treasure cherished by serious porcelain collectors.
