The body features a strong geometric silhouette with a four-sided construction, raised foot, fitted lid, square finial, straight spout, and balanced square handle. The crisp edges and precise structure demonstrate the careful craftsmanship of traditional Yixing teapot making. One side of the body is decorated with a finely carved landscape scene, showing layered mountains, riverside dwellings, and trees rendered in a simple yet expressive style. The opposite side features a carved “Daguan” inscription inspired by ancient stele designs, accompanied by calligraphic inscriptions that create a strong literati atmosphere. The combination of ceramic carving, calligraphy, and purple clay craftsmanship gives this piece a refined scholarly appeal. The underside bears a square seal mark, completing the elegant presentation. This is a sophisticated example of a decorative scholar’s Zisha teapot, combining craftsmanship, artistic carving, and traditional Chinese literati aesthetics.
