The Hetian jade materials show a variety of natural tones, including yellow-brown hues, caramel-colored patination, and dark gray mineral staining. The surfaces feature layered earth沁, weathering marks, and naturally developed coloration that has penetrated into the jade body over time. Each tube displays carefully finished surfaces with visible traces of ancient polishing techniques, while the inner channels have developed a smooth aged appearance through centuries of use. With their rich patina and authentic weathered character, these pieces served as components of ancient personal ornaments and could be assembled as a group or appreciated individually. They represent a rare surviving example of early Chinese jade bead craftsmanship.
