Dimensions: 11th–12th century, H. 17.8 cm (7.0 in), Max. body diameter 17.5 cm (6.9 in)，Condition & Provenance: The ewer is in good overall condition with well-preserved glaze and clearly defined carved decoration. The base shows natural age-related wear, old surface cracks, and soil staining consistent with its long history. Provenance: Private Collection, Hong Kong.Description: This elegant Yaozhou kiln celadon ewer features a flared rim, tall neck, rounded shoulder, full body, tapered lower section, and a neatly formed foot. A slender spout extends from one side while a broad handle balances the opposite side, creating a refined and practical silhouette. The entire vessel is covered in a soft celadon glaze with a calm jade-like tone and smooth luminous surface. The body is decorated with bold carved designs, including overlapping lotus petals around the shoulder and large peony blossoms across the belly. The floral motifs are deeply carved with confident knife work, creating strong relief and a dynamic three-dimensional effect.
