The dish features a wide flared rim, shallow curved body, and raised foot, presenting a broad and elegant form. The central decoration features a molded sunflower motif, with the circular center filled with dense raised dots imitating the seeds of a sunflower. Surrounding petals are arranged in an eight-lobed design, decorated alternately with green and blue glazes, with molded vein patterns adding depth and realism. The floral design is set against a yellow-glazed ground, while the outer rim is covered with green glaze and decorated with a ring of pale pink and white dot motifs. The rim is finished with a yellow glazed border. The molded and applied decoration creates a strong three-dimensional effect, with yellow, green, blue, and white glazes harmoniously combined. The glaze surface displays fine natural crazing, and the rich colors reflect the bold and lively decorative style of Liao Dynasty ceramics. The underside features yellow glaze around the foot, while the center reveals the exposed ceramic body with visible wheel marks and traces of aged soil deposits. Long-term surface wear and rubbing marks remain naturally preserved, representing the typical characteristics of Liao period ceramics. Large Liao sancai dishes featuring floral themes are relatively rare, and this example preserves a complete composition, clear molded decoration, and rich glaze colors, making it an important representative work with both historical significance and strong decorative appeal.
