The vessel retains its original domed cover topped with a jewel-shaped finial, creating a well-balanced and refined silhouette. The base is marked within double circles with the six-character Xuande reign mark “Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi” in underglaze blue. The decoration combines rich cobalt blue painting with vibrant overglaze enamels. The cover is decorated with polychrome lotus blossoms and aquatic plants, while the finial is fully painted in blue and white. The neck is arranged with layers of key-fret patterns, lotus petals, and scrolling floral motifs. The spout and handle are covered with continuous blue-and-white floral designs. The main body features two peach-shaped panels enclosing colorful lotus pond scenes, with blooming red lotus flowers, green water plants, and a pair of mandarin ducks swimming peacefully among the reeds, symbolizing harmony and prosperity. The lower body is decorated with blue cloud motifs, while the foot is finished with a geometric border. The cobalt blue is deep and expressive, contrasted beautifully with bright red, green, and blue enamels. The glossy white glaze has a warm and refined appearance, and the natural firing marks on the foot further enhance its antique character. With its elegant form, exceptional painting quality, and complete original cover, this Xuande blue and white polychrome ewer represents a highly desirable example of early Ming imperial porcelain, valued for both display and collection.
