Description:This is an imperial large Doucai bowl from Chenghua reign of Ming dynasty, for palace daily use and display. Wide opening, curved belly and neatly‑formed foot‑ring, fine thin smooth body. Double fine underglaze‑blue lines decorate inner and outer rim. Bowl interior center features peach‑fruit spray within double blue circle. Several small flower‑and‑fruit sprigs adorn inner rim. Exterior is divided into six round medallions of pomegranate, peach, peony and other auspicious plants. Outlines are drawn in underglaze‑blue, filled with iron‑red, yellow and green enamels. Lush leaves and plump fruits are vividly rendered. Soft pale blue underglaze‑blue pairs with gentle enamel palette, representing typical Chenghua imperial aesthetic. Base bears six‑character underglaze‑blue reign mark “Da Ming Cheng Hua Nian Zhi” inside square frame in regular script. Large‑sized Chenghua Doucai bowls are quite rare. This fully‑decorated vessel bears auspicious symbolism of fortune and longevity, ranking among fine Ming Doucai porcelains with important historical and collectible value.
