Measuring 9.5 cm in height with a 7 cm mouth diameter, the vessel retains its original fitted cover and displays a compact yet elegant form with a short straight rim, rounded shoulders, full body, and neatly finished foot. The surface is richly painted in the wucai palette with a dynamic dragon among flowering motifs. The powerful green-bodied dragon is highlighted with red accents on the mane, surrounded by auspicious clouds, scrolling floral designs, and precious emblems. The combination of blue, red, green, and yellow enamels creates a vibrant and harmonious visual effect. Decorative bands of key-fret patterns and floral scrolls adorn the neck, while upright lotus petals embellish the lower section. The matching cover continues the floral decoration, creating a unified composition. The unglazed foot reveals natural iron-red firing traces, and the base bears a six-character blue-and-white Jiajing mark within double circles. With its richly painted decoration, mature enamel tones, and refined craftsmanship, this jar represents the distinctive aesthetic of Ming dynasty wucai porcelain and would have served as an elegant scholar’s storage or display vessel.
