The set is composed of numerous rectangular jade plaques strung together through drilled suspension holes at both ends, forming an ancient ceremonial jade belt or large-scale personal ornament. The entire jade surface has transformed into a distinctive chicken-bone white appearance, displaying soft grayish ivory tones with natural earth staining, calcified areas, weathering marks, and aged surface textures. Each jade plaque has been carefully polished with rounded edges, showing the refined aging characteristics of ancient craftsmanship. Slight variations in thickness and size among the individual plaques reflect the handmade production methods of early jade carving. The complete arrangement, rich calcification layers, and naturally aged patina give this piece a strong historical character. Jade ornament sets were important status symbols among ancient elites, and jade belts represented rank and authority. This well-preserved example, with its mature patina and exceptional ancient appearance, represents a rare and highly collectible example of early Chinese jade artistry.
