Measuring 27cm in length and 11cm in height, the pillow has a substantial yet elegant profile with softly curved edges and a refined shape designed for both practical use and artistic display. The top panel features a finely painted scene of paired phoenixes surrounded by auspicious clouds. The phoenixes face each other with raised heads, layered feathers, gracefully extended wings, and flowing tails, creating a lively and balanced composition. Surrounding the central panel is a continuous floral scroll border, carefully outlined with double lines to enhance the decorative layers. The side walls are decorated with symmetrical ruyi cloud-head motifs arranged in an orderly pattern, framed by blue decorative bands above and below. The porcelain is covered with a pure white glaze with a subtle warm tone, while the cobalt blue decoration displays rich tonal variation, strong brushwork, and deeper cobalt accumulations characteristic of fine blue and white porcelain. The unglazed base reveals a sturdy body with natural age marks, small kiln particles, earth staining, and traces of long-term preservation. The phoenix design symbolizes prosperity, harmony, and good fortune, making this an exceptional example that combines practical function with refined decorative artistry.
