Dimension：H:41cm (16.14 inches), Side Length:16cm (6.30 inches), 20th Century Condition & Provenance：Perfect preserved condition, free of chips, cracks and restoration. Private Collection, Florida, USA Description：This is a representative square‑form porcelain work painted by the Republican‑era ceramic master Wang Bu, stamped with a blue‑and‑white square seal “Yuan Wen Wu Guo Zhi Zhai” on the base. The vessel features a stately vertical square silhouette. Four sides are decorated with mythological figures. Graded cobalt wash creates rich tonal variations reminiscent of Chinese ink wash painting. Cloud motifs are rendered in free expressive brushwork, while figures are outlined with powerful iron‑wire linework, conveying vivid expression and gesture. Subtle cobalt gradients integrate literati painting aesthetics onto glazed porcelain, marking it as an outstanding masterpiece of 20th‑century Chinese blue‑and‑white art.
