Measuring 12 cm in width, 10 cm in height, and weighing 2409 g, it represents a substantial and highly refined scholar’s seal object. The square seal base is decorated with multiple lines of finely carved inscriptions, displaying elegant calligraphic balance and precise craftsmanship. Red key-fret style seal marks are carved on both sides of the base, adding a refined decorative element. The upper section features an elaborate openwork finial depicting a group of qilin presenting treasures. Each qilin is carved with distinctive posture and expression, with finely rendered scales, flowing manes, and powerful naturalistic forms. Among the mythical creatures are auspicious treasures including ancient coins, scrolls, gourds, and precious pearls. The naturally red-toned areas of the stone are cleverly utilized to highlight the jewels, creating a beautiful contrast against the creamy white frozen stone. Layered cloud motifs, intricate openwork carving, and a fully three-dimensional composition demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship. The seal face is finely engraved with complex seal script surrounded by chi-dragon decoration, with traces of cinnabar residue and an aged surface patina adding historical character. Combining material beauty, masterful carving techniques, calligraphy, and traditional seal artistry, this large Shoushan stone seal reflects the refined taste of Qing imperial-style decorative arts and symbolizes prosperity, protection, and good fortune.
