Provenance: Private Collection, Florida, USA,Description: This elegant zisha teapot is crafted from aged purple clay with a deep, refined tone, clear sandy texture, and a warm natural surface patina. The body features a classic melon-ribbed form with smooth and balanced vertical contours, expanding gently from the rim before narrowing toward the circular foot. The spout and handle are designed in the shape of natural plum branches, with twisted branches and realistic bark details carefully rendered. One side of the body features raised plum blossom decoration, with strong branches, layered blossoms, and delicate buds highlighted through the use of contrasting clay colors, creating a rich three-dimensional effect. The opposite side is decorated with finely carved running-script poetry, showing confident brush-like movement and precise knife work. The lid follows the melon-ribbed design, while the finial is shaped as an aged plum branch, creating a harmonious connection with the spout and handle. The wide opening reveals the natural texture of the clay interior, and the circular foot bears an impressed seal mark. Combining traditional zisha craftsmanship, naturalistic floral design, and scholar-style poetic decoration, this teapot represents the refined artistic tradition of Chinese purple clay ware and the elegant taste of literati tea culture.
