The bodhisattva is portrayed in a relaxed seated posture, placed upon a naturalistic tree-stump base. Guanyin wears an elaborate jeweled crown with flowing ribbons, displaying a serene and compassionate expression. The figure reveals a decorated necklace across the chest and is dressed in a flowing wide-sleeved robe with elegant folds. Subtle floral patterns are carved into the robe, while the surface is covered with a smooth and refined powder-green celadon glaze. The hands, feet, chest, neck, and base retain areas of exposed reddish-brown clay, creating a natural contrast and highlighting the sculptural craftsmanship. The base is modeled as an aged, twisting tree stump with rugged textures, while a small bird rests on one side branch, adding a charming naturalistic detail. The hollow underside and small opening on the rear of the base reflect traditional firing techniques used in ancient ceramic sculpture. The reverse of the robe features molded floral decoration. With its refined modeling, elegant form, and warm celadon glaze, this sculpture represents the high artistic achievement of Longquan kiln Buddhist ceramics and reflects both technical excellence and religious significance.
