拍品描述

Dimensions: Song Dynasty, Overall Height 101cm (39.8in), Base Width 55cm (21.7in) Condition & Provenance: The sculpture remains structurally intact, with naturally aged and partially faded original pigment retaining authentic antique patina. Private Collection, California Description: Carved from a single block of wood, the Bodhisattva assumes a relaxed meditative lalitasana pose. Elaborate jewelled crown and fluid layered drapery survive with remnants of crimson, malachite‑green and gilded polychromy. The serene compassionate facial expression conveys quiet spirituality. A sacred scripture cavity is hollowed on the rear side. This large wooden figure stands as a distinguished masterpiece of Song‑dynasty Buddhist sculpture.
