Description：A fine imperial Qianlong‑period famille‑rose lantern‑shaped vase, representative court‑display porcelain of the Qianlong reign. The vase features flared gilt‑rim mouth, short neck, broad shoulder, tall cylindrical body and tapered foot ring. Interior is entirely covered with even glossy turquoise‑green glaze. Exterior main ground is rich ruby‑red colour, overlaid with fine incised scrolling brocade ground (ya‑dao technique). Upon the brocade ground, famille‑rose enamels depict irises, lotus, magnolia and assorted blossoms with full‑fledged foliage, alongside vivid colourful butterflies with meticulously rendered wing veins. Neck‑shoulder and foot sections are divided into multi‑colour decorative bands on yellow ground, painted with scrolling floral patterns, key‑fret and diamond‑shaped geometric borders with precise outline and smooth enamel application. Foot ring is also ornamented with famille‑rose scrolling floral border. The base bears neat under‑glaze‑blue six‑character seal mark “Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi” on turquoise‑green glaze. Integrating ground‑etching, famille‑rose enamel and gilding techniques, the vase boasts magnificent colour scheme and lively pictorial composition, fully embodying the sumptuous aesthetic of Qianlong imperial porcelain, an important hall‑display vessel for the Qing court.
