Description:A fine imperial‑style Jiaqing blue‑and‑white scholar’s‑studio brush washer. Modelled in elegant begonia‑flower form with shallow cavity, supported by four strip‑form feet. The inner rim is decorated with scrolling lotus in underglaze blue, with luxuriant interlocking stems and full‑blown blooms. The central reserved panel bears an imperial poem in standard‑script calligraphy, accompanied by two seal marks. This poem concerns tea appreciation, composed in the 1797 spring by the Jiaqing Emperor. The calligraphy is neat and formal, typical of imperial court writing of the period. The exterior is also painted with scrolling lotus to match interior decoration. The base is covered with clean white glaze, centred by underglaze‑blue six‑character square seal mark “Da Qing Jia Qing Nian Zhi”. Harmonious contrast between blue pigment and white glaze, combining imperial literary inscription with refined scholar‑studio vessel shape, this represents high‑grade Jiaqing imperial porcelain.
