Dimensions：H.11.5 cm (0 ft 4.53 in) Condition & Provenance：Fully intact, no cracks or chips on body and cover. Smooth lustrous sacrificial‑blue glaze, well‑preserved vibrant falangcai enamels, intact gilding on rim. Natural wear on four‑cornered foot, clean base glaze, original aged surface, no chemical cleaning. Formerly private collection of Robert King, San Francisco, California, U.S.A. Acquired in 1990s, family heirloom. Never appeared at public auction, no exhibition or publication records. Description：An imperial Qianlong falangcai porcelain teapot for court tea‑drinking usage. Of square form with beveled corners, fitted with gracefully spout, curved handle and bridge‑form knob cover with gilded rim, supported by four‑lobed corner foot ring. The exterior is covered in deep glossy sacrificial‑blue glaze, lavishly painted with falangcai hundred‑flower decoration. Large peonies dominate the composition, interspersed with chrysanthemums, morning glories, hollyhocks and assorted seasonal blossoms. Flowers and leaves overlap naturally with subtle gradation on petals, conveying auspicious meaning of prosperity. The base is white‑glazed, bearing four‑character blue seal mark “Qian Long Nian Zhi”. Striking colour contrast between deep‑blue ground and colourful blossoms manifests the exquisite craftsmanship of Qianlong imperial tea wares.
