拍品描述

Dimensions: H. 38.5 cm (15 1/4 in), 14th‑Century Yuan dynasty Condition & Provenance: Condition: Fully intact, no cracks or restoration. Everted rim, constricted neck, broad full shoulders flanked by paired beast‑mask handles. Covered in rich deep sapphire‑blue glaze. Large dynamic five‑clawed dragon modelled in raised reserve‑white, accompanied by flame‑cloud motifs, creating dramatic blue‑and‑white contrast. Interior glazed white; unglazed sandy base bears natural age patina and kiln‑related residue. Provenance: West‑coast private collection, USA. Acquired 1958, consigned for auction by family estate in 2026. Description: Monumental Yuan high‑grade ceremonial vessel. Cobalt‑blue glaze was technically demanding to fire; raised reserve‑white dragon decoration represents sophisticated craftsmanship. The powerful five‑clawed dragon carries imperial symbolism. Large Yuan blue‑glazed vessels are scarce; intact examples with original beast‑mask handles are mostly museum‑preserved, rarely appearing on the private market, possessing exceptional aesthetic and collecting significance.
