Description: This is a fine Song dynasty Yingqing porcelain sculpture depicting the classic pastoral scene of a shepherd boy riding on the back of an ox and playing a transverse flute. The ox is full-bodied and robust, with strong limbs and naturally curved horns. The facial features are simply and vividly depicted. The young shepherd boy wears a straw hat, his hair is simply sculpted, and his robe flows gracefully, his expression serene and at ease. The entire piece is covered in a delicate celadon glaze, the surface of which is soft and translucent. A small vent hole from the firing process is visible on the hind leg of the buffalo. The unglazed base reveals the dry, mature ancient porcelain body. The sculpture's style is simple and natural, with harmonious proportions between the figures and animals, creating a rich pastoral atmosphere. This is a rare and exquisite Song Dynasty porcelain decorative piece.
