The screen features a finely carved hardwood frame with an openwork design adorned with stylized kui dragon scroll patterns. The carving is delicate and fluid, the solid wood and openwork complementing each other perfectly, and the warm luster of the hardwood highlighting its age and careful preservation. The central panel is inlaid with a piece of natural marble, the stone's texture forming a striking landscape painting. Layers of deep green, charcoal black, and ivory evoke mountains, mist, and distant valleys, presenting a natural ink wash landscape without the need for painted decoration. The inscription and signature carved in the upper right corner add to its artistic appeal. The lower half continues the exquisite craftsmanship, adorned with openwork cloud patterns, geometric scrollwork, rounded side decorations, and graceful foot designs. This screen cleverly blends superb hardwood carving techniques with the natural beauty of marble, showcasing the elegant temperament of traditional Chinese interior decoration and the appreciation of natural stone as a living landscape art.
