The statue is 32.5 cm high and weighs 1080 g, carved from a single piece of wood. Guanyin Bodhisattva sits cross-legged on a layered lotus pedestal with full, rounded petals, carved with exquisite and powerful techniques. The Bodhisattva wears a magnificent crown, with her hair piled high. Her face is serene and compassionate, her eyes slightly lowered, her expression solemn, radiating an aura of tranquility and peace. The upper body is partially nude, with a flowing shawl draped naturally, its folds moving gracefully with the body's movements. The carving is delicate and fluid. The hands form a Buddhist mudra, the fingers and bracelets meticulously detailed, proportionally balanced, and crafted with exquisite skill. The sculpture is carved from solid wood, with the base retaining its natural wood grain and growth marks. The original lacquer, weathered by centuries of wind and rain, has partially peeled away, revealing the wood beneath, bearing the cracks and rich, aged sheen of time. The back remains simple, continuing the detailed carving of the clothing and preserving the rustic style of early wooden Buddhist sculptures. With its serene expression, ancient craftsmanship, and naturally aged wood surface, this sculpture is a prominent representative of Chinese Buddhist art.
