The mouth is straight and wide, the body is cylindrical, slightly narrowing at the bottom, and flat. The sandy base gives it a weighty and powerful appearance. Two blue decorative bands adorn the rim. The interior is glazed with a soft, light blue-white glaze, showcasing natural kiln marks and fine shaping. The exterior is decorated with a vivid blue-and-white dragon motif. The dragon's head is raised, its mane flowing, its eyes piercing, its mouth open as if about to speak, and its scales are finely textured. The dragon's five-clawed body weaves nimbly through layers of clouds, exuding a majestic and awe-inspiring presence, showcasing imperial majesty. The surrounding cloud patterns are elegantly arranged, their deep cobalt blue hues contrasting beautifully with the pristine white porcelain ground. The brushstrokes are vigorous and powerful, further emphasizing the dragon's imposing presence. The unglazed base retains its solid, sandy texture, revealing natural soil deposits, signs of oxidation over time, and turning marks from the manufacturing process. This piece is magnificent in scale and balanced in form, with its powerful dragon decoration making it a quintessential example of Ming dynasty blue-and-white porcelain, combining aesthetic appeal with practicality.
