Description: This silver relief cup, decorated with figures and galloping horses, is a prime example of ancient silverwork influenced by cross-cultural artistic traditions. The rim flares slightly outwards, the body is rounded, gradually narrowing towards a flat base. Made using traditional relief techniques, the body is decorated with raised relief patterns separated by bordered designs. The central motif depicts a seated figure wearing a magnificent crown and layered clothing, surrounded by a flowing, powerful horse. The decorative patterns are exquisitely arranged, cleverly blending relief and carving techniques with strong, vigorous lines. The piece features two circular handles, each inlaid with a raised peach-shaped protective plate, engraved with portraits and curling vine patterns. The handles are joined using traditional riveting techniques, retaining the original craftsmanship details. The silver surface exhibits a rustic dark gray hue, with natural oxidation and traces of dirt, telling a story of centuries past. With its superb craftsmanship and distinctive exotic artistic style, this piece is a precious example of ancient silverware in the exchange between East and West.
