Description: This Yuan Dynasty blue-and-white jar has a robust and elegant shape, with a short, straight neck, broad, rounded shoulders, a full body, and a stable foot. The neck is decorated with flowing wave patterns, while the shoulders are painted with continuous peony blossoms, large and full, with gracefully intertwined vines. The cobalt blue decoration on this porcelain jar is richly varied, with natural iron spots and subtle shading adding to its antique charm. The center of the jar is painted with a beautiful lotus pond scene, featuring blooming lotus flowers, floating aquatic plants, and a pair of elegantly swimming mandarin ducks. The composition is compact yet ingeniously arranged, creating a vivid and balanced decorative effect. The base of the jar is decorated with a band of lotus petal patterns adorned with cloud motifs. The interior is glazed in a bluish-white glaze, preserving clearly visible traces of the early throwing process. The exposed foot rim reveals the solid body and finishing marks, as well as visible clay deposits and natural aging cracks. This porcelain jar, with its warm glaze, vibrant cobalt blue tone, and distinctive decorative style, is an outstanding representative of early Chinese blue and white porcelain.
