Description: This bamboo root carving in the shape of a frog measures 16.5 cm in height, 16 cm in width, and weighs 455 g, and comes with its original hardwood base. Carved from a single, thick bamboo root, the incense burner depicts a seated frog with its head held high. The frog's mouth is carved into an opening for releasing incense smoke, and its rounded eyes and folded limbs give it a lively and vibrant form. The entire surface retains the bamboo's natural, delicate "egg-like" texture and has developed a warm, rich patina and deep reddish-brown hue over time. The carving is simple yet powerful, with realistic and expressive knife work. The hollow interior and perforated bottom allow for smoke circulation, while the bamboo structure retains its natural texture. The matching hardwood base features smooth, rounded lines that echo the frog's silhouette and ensure its stability. In traditional Chinese culture, the frog symbolizes prosperity and good fortune, making this incense burner an elegant and refined piece that combines the appreciation of incense, craftsmanship, and decoration.
