Description: This Tang Dynasty sancai (three-color glazed) vase is a masterpiece of early Chinese ceramic craftsmanship. It features a gracefully flared mouth, a slender and straight neck, a rounded and full body, and a stable foot. The upper part of the neck and mouth are glazed in a warm amber-brown glaze, creating an elegant contrast with the bright green body. The rounded body is decorated with evenly spaced white and yellow floral patterns against a rich green base glaze. Two raised horizontal lines separate the shoulder from the body, adding depth to the overall design. The glaze is covered with fine, natural crackles, and the green, yellow, and white colors blend seamlessly, creating a rustic and harmonious aesthetic. The exposed white earthenware ring reveals the original texture of the clay and the clear wheel-carving marks, reflecting the traditional pottery-making techniques of the Tang Dynasty. This exquisite and decorative sancai (three-color glazed) vessel showcases the artistic beauty and superb coloring techniques of Tang Dynasty ceramics.
