Description: This Xuande period underglaze blue bowl measures 23 cm in diameter and 10.5 cm in height. The bowl is petal-shaped, exquisitely crafted, with a scalloped rim featuring vertical lines extending along the petal outlines. The rounded body and petal-shaped foot complement each other, creating a balanced and imposing overall form. The interior is glazed with a rich, deep copper-red glaze, its color echoing the vertical lines on the body. The exterior is entirely decorated with underglaze blue, vividly depicting a scene of fish and water, with lifelike depictions of lotus flowers, leaves, aquatic plants, and duckweed. The fish scales are meticulously depicted, and the lotus flowers and leaves unfold naturally, creating a vibrant pond scene symbolizing prosperity and abundance. The cobalt blue decoration is executed with vigorous and powerful brushstrokes, showcasing the confident touch unique to Xuande imperial porcelain. The unglazed foot rim reveals the solid porcelain body, and the recessed base bears the six-character "Xuande Reign Mark" within double circles. The striking contrast between the copper-red interior glaze and the blue exterior glaze makes this piece a rare and unique example of glaze combination among Ming dynasty imperial porcelain.
