Description: This complete reception room furniture set includes two matching armchairs and a square side table. Its design is inspired by the elegant proportions of classic Ming-style horseshoe-back chairs, cleverly incorporating a pipa-shaped backrest, showcasing ingenuity. The final result is a highly decorative yet functional furniture set suitable for formal interior spaces and artistic study-like settings. The entire set utilizes traditional mortise and tenon joinery, demonstrating the exquisite craftsmanship and superior quality of Chinese furniture making. Each chair retains the gracefully curved horseshoe armrests, extending naturally to the seat frame. The seat surfaces feature paneling, revealing captivating wood grain beneath the original black lacquer. Over the years, the naturally worn edges subtly reveal a warm, golden hue. The cylindrical chair legs are connected by a stepped structure with cross braces, ensuring the furniture's stability. The highlight of this set is the chair back, carved into the shape of a traditional Chinese pipa, perfectly blending furniture with musical symbolism. The matching square coffee table and chairs complement each other perfectly. The table's edges are adorned with scrolling cloud patterns, its legs are cylindrical, and the horizontal supports beneath the table frame form an X-shape, providing an ideal display space for tea sets or scholar's collections. The entire set is crafted from solid wood and finished with black lacquer. Years of use have given the surface a deep, natural patina, showcasing captivating wear patterns and a rich texture. Traditional woodworking techniques such as mortise and tenon joints, relief carving, shallow engraving, and meticulous hand-polishing are evident throughout. The pipa motif symbolizes harmony, elegance, and enduring friendship, making this set a unique and captivating interpretation of traditional Chinese furniture. As a well-preserved original set, it is a prime example of outstanding historical decorative furniture in China.
