No cracks, defects, or signs of repair. The celadon glaze has a soft luster, and naturally formed crackles are visible on the body and lid, adding to its beauty. Normal wear is visible on the unglazed parts of the three feet and the inner lining of the lid, consistent with the age and firing process. Private collection, Hong Kong. Description: This piece is beautifully peach-shaped with a rounded body, supported by three short, sturdy animal-shaped feet, exhibiting excellent balance and elegant form. The small mouth retains the original long-handled lid, the top of which is disc-shaped. The slender insert fits snugly against the neck, preserving the piece in its original condition. This incense burner is well-proportioned and simply shaped, a model of Goryeo celadon incense burners, suitable for both incense burning and ritual purposes. The entire body of the censer is covered with a soft, clear, light grayish-green celadon glaze. Naturally formed, fine crackles cover the body and lid, adding a touch of serene elegance characteristic of Goryeo ceramics. The glaze naturally thins at the ends of the feet, revealing the deeper body beneath, showing signs of kiln firing. The bottom of the feet exposes a slightly smooth, gray clay body worn smooth by years of use, while the rim of the lid has been intentionally preserved in its original color, showcasing the dense body characteristic of Goryeo kiln firing techniques. Influenced by Song Dynasty Longquan celadon, Goryeo ceramic artists developed a unique celadon technique, creating such exquisite vessels for sacrificial ceremonies and scholar's studies. This piece was made using a wheel-throwing technique and applied a high-temperature fired celadon glaze. The crackles on the glaze formed naturally during cooling, rather than being a later treatment. It has been preserved intact to this day with its original lid, without any cracks or damage; the glaze is undamaged, and the crackles are clearly visible, making it an outstanding representative of Goryeo celadon craftsmanship.
