Description: This Yuan dynasty Longquan celadon vase represents one of the finest decorative traditions of 14th-century Longquan ware. The elegant Yuhuchun shape, with its wide, flared mouth, slender neck, rounded shoulders, full body, and gracefully tapering hem, rests firmly on the foot. The overall proportions are balanced, embodying both the exquisite beauty of the Yuhuchun shape and the sturdiness of the flared mouth. The entire vessel is covered in a soft, pale green Longquan celadon glaze, thick and translucent, exhibiting a jade-like luster. The neck is decorated with molded floral patterns, while the body is adorned with exquisite molded dragon motifs. The majestic dragon encircles the vessel, its scales and claws clearly visible, rendered using a shallow relief technique. The lower part is decorated with radiating chrysanthemum petal patterns, adding depth and three-dimensionality to the overall design. The decorations are subtly visible beneath the translucent celadon glaze, showcasing the elegant layered effect characteristic of Yuan dynasty Longquan ceramics. The foot is unglazed, revealing the warm brownish-yellow clay body, firing marks, kiln slag, and the characteristic sandy texture of Longquan ceramics. This piece, produced in the Yuan dynasty Longquan kiln, was a prestigious ceramic decoration symbolizing power, auspiciousness, and imperial taste. Its exquisite shape, rich celadon glaze, and superb molded decoration make it an important representative work of Yuan dynasty Longquan decorative ceramics.
